Vision Statement for Hilldale Elementary School

During the next ten to twenty years, Hilldale County will undergo many changes. There will be an increase in the international population, an increase in lower ecomonic families, and the county will become less rural and more suburban.

The school facilities will be smaller and will be designed to include more natural lighting, additional outdoor learning classrooms, and will allow for flexibility in the curriculum. Interdisciplinary scheduling will be used at the elementary level. Block scheduling will be used at the middle school and high school level.

The residents will continue to be supportive of the school system and will continue to desire the best possible education for their children. There will be an increase in community involvement through volunteering at the local schools, attending school functions, and sharing in the responsibility of educating all of the children in the community.

The illiteracy rate will decrease and 90% of the students will graduate high school. Current technology will be implemented and maintained at all schools. Computers will allow for instantaneous global communication which will expand the possibilities in the curriculum.
